Love

Amina loved collecting shiny seashells on the beach. Her pockets were always bulging with pearly swirls and spiral surprises. One windy day, a particularly magnificent shell caught her eye – a giant clam, as big as her head, with stripes like a rainbow zebra. But just as she reached for it, a hand swooped in and grabbed it first.

It belonged to a boy named Omar, with a grin as wide as the clam itself. Amina frowned. "Hey! That's mine!"

Omar blinked, his grin shrinking. "But it's so cool! I thought we could share it. Like a lucky charm for both of us."

Amina, charmed by his goofy logic and the twinkle in his eyes, couldn't help but smile. They held the clam together, whispering wishes: Amina for a new bike, Omar for a pet giraffe (yes, a giraffe!). When they let go, the clam popped open, revealing... a single, perfectly round pearl.

Their jaws dropped. A pearl! For them to share! Suddenly, sharing didn't sound so bad. In fact, it sounded pretty perfect. They spent the rest of the day building sandcastles, the pearl nestled between them like a tiny sunbeam.

By the time they said goodbye, the setting sun painted the sky in rainbow stripes, just like the clam. Amina realized her wish had come true, but not in the way she expected. Omar, with his goofy grin and silly dreams, was like a treasure she hadn't even known she was looking for. And maybe, just maybe, he felt the same about her.

As they walked home, their pockets full of shells and their hearts full of something even brighter, Amina knew this wasn't just a funny story about a giant clam. It was the start of something much, much more. And all it took was a shared wish, a stolen glance, and a pearl the size of a pea.
